Richard Somogyi was born in Budapest in 1971. He graduated in Interior Design and Editorial Design and Branding from the Arts Institute at Bournemouth (now Arts University Bournemouth) in England. In 2018, he won an IDA (International Design Award) for his designs of the Bang & Olufsen Budapest store. His graphic approach is strongly reflected in his interior design work.
